Hampton Congregational Church, 263 Main Street Cost: Free Will Offering |
Details: Hampton Congregational Church, 263 Main Street, Hampton, has announced that New York City native, Eddie Zheng will be this year’s artist to play the church’s Tracker pipe Organ. He is a Julliard student studying with renowned concert organist Paul Jacobs. Eddie has his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in organ performance and has already concertized in America, China, France, and Canada. The American Guild of Organists proclaims he is a “rising star “ in the organ world. He currently serves as Assistant Organist at Saint Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church in New York City. At Hampton, he will play Connecticut’s second oldest pipe organ, the 1836 Dennison-Smith tracker in the rear balcony.
The concert will be held on Sunday, October 29, at 4 p.m. Refreshments will follow in the church hall. There will be a free will offering.
