Details: Join Nathan Avakian as he performs once again on the Kotzschmar Organ. Nathan Avakian is a modern theater organist who combines the artistry of an organ concert, the high energy of rock and roll and the creativity of short modern day silent films to create a multi-media experience that is not to be missed! Renowned for his tasteful blending of twenty-first century virtual instrument technology with theatre organ music, Nathan creates performances that satisfy contemporary musical tastes and pay tribute to the historical legacy of the theatre organ. When last in Portland, he thrilled audiences with selections from the popular film “Slumdog Millionaire” as well as works from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, the Charlie Daniels Band, and Queen as well as some of his own compositions.
