Bach’s Birthday Bash Diane Meredith Belcher - organist John Brombaugh Opus 21 March 21st, 7:00 pm St. Mark’s Episcopal Chapel The University of Connecticut 42 North Eagleville Road Storrs CT 06268 Suggested Donation: $20 Benefit Concert for Choral Scholarships to UConn Students Internationally renowned organist Diane Meredith Belcher will present a recital on the restored Brombaugh organ, op.21. Ms. Belcher will perform works by Bach, Buxtehude, and Sweelink including Bach’s Great Prelude and Fugue in A minor. Stefan Maier undertook the restoration of Opus 21 in collaboration with Taylor and Boody under the guidance of John Brombaugh. Mr. Brombaugh quotes, “The triplets, opus 20, 21 and 22, are three of my best instruments,” to which Ms. Belcher adds, “The restoration of Opus 21 along with the chapel’s excellent acoustics make it a joy to play.” Please attend this unique event and support the choral scholar program at St. Mark’s Episcopal Chapel.
