More Event Details
Details: On the first Sunday of Advent, the King’s Chapel Concert Series celebrates the beginning of a new church year by traversing it from start to finish in elaborate chorale prelude settings by J.S. Bach, his student Homilius, and composers from subsequent centuries. Heinrich Christensen plays the C.B. Fisk organ, with Chorales performed by members of the King's Chapel Choir. In his lifetime, Bach wrote over 350 chorales. They are considered to be “classical music's ultimate masterpieces in harmony.” (ClassicFM)
The King’s Chapel Concert Series offers innovative programs, each one hour long, in an intimate and historical setting. Attendees are required to wear masks during the concert. King’s Chapel safety policies regarding Covid-19 may be found on the home page at kings-chapel.org.
