More Event Details
Details: On June 2nd, 1937, French organist and composer Louis Vierne died on the organ bench while playing a concert at the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris. This year on June 2nd, organist Raymond Hawkins will tempt fate by playing a program that features the works of Louis Vierne and his contemporaries, including the very last piece of music Vierne ever played. Due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, there will be no audience present, but the concert will be livestreamed online on Raymond Hawkins' Youtube channel (see link in description).

This concert, hosted by St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Marblehead, Mass., is given in part to support the Greater Boston Food Bank and their efforts to assist our neighbors who are struggling to afford food during this uncertain time. A suggested donation of $10 per person is asked, though any amount is welcomed and appreciated.
Works by Louis Vierne, Charles-Marie Widor, Marcel Dupré, René Vierne
